This is exactly the kind of battery you never think about until a car key fob suddenly stops working, and Duracell's CR2025 has bailed us out more than once. It is a thin, wide coin cell, easy to tell apart from the thicker CR2032 once you have them side by side, and it drops right into key fobs, kitchen scales and the odd calculator without any fuss. What stands out for a household with kids around is the safety design: the coating has a genuinely bitter taste and the blister pack takes real effort to open, both worthwhile precautions since a swallowed coin cell is a serious hazard. We keep a spare pack in a kitchen drawer for the scale and a couple of remotes, and even cells that sat unused for a year still read full voltage when we needed them. The pack of 4 covers a couple of devices with spares left over, rather than buying single cells repeatedly. One thing to watch for: a CR2032 shares the same diameter but is noticeably thicker, so check the reference on your device before assuming they are interchangeable.
