Photovoltaic cells, most often made of silicon, are able to capture sunlight and transform it into direct current. The photons of sunlight, when they come into contact with the cells, transmit their energy to the electrons of the semiconductors of the panels, generating an electrical voltage. The inverter then converts the generated direct current into alternating current.
The choice of the number of solar panels depends on several criteria such as the surface available for their installation, their power, or the cost you wish to dedicate to them. But also elements such as sunshine or your desire to sell (or not) the additional energy produced. Listing all these elements will allow you to make an optimal choice.
Regular cleaning of solar panels is essential to maintain their energy efficiency. To do this, it is sufficient to spray the surfaces with clear water, if possible demineralised, then to remove all traces of water and dirt with a foam squeegee, avoiding overly strong movements that could scratch the glass.
Like a fuse, the solar controller acts as a guardrail that protects your photovoltaic system from short circuits and prevents overcharging or intense discharges of the batteries.
