The layers of protection built in, short circuit, overcharge, overheating and deep discharge, are reassuring for a battery that gets tossed in a pack and forgotten between trips. The one real catch is length: at 70mm, about 5mm longer than a standard 18650, it will not drop into every flashlight, so double-check your light's spec sheet before ordering.
