Detailed overview: Anker 24W dual-USB wall charger
Well built like most Anker accessories, this USB wall charger has two USB-A ports, each delivering 5V/2.4A. It can provide up to 24W in total, letting you charge two devices at once, a smartphone and a pair of earbuds, an e-reader, a smartwatch or a second line for a travel companion.
Its main appeal lies in its smart technologies. PowerIQ automatically detects the type of connected device and delivers the most suitable current, while VoltageBoost compensates for voltage losses in the cable to maintain full-speed charging. All of this within safety standards (protection against surges, overheating and short circuits), an area where Anker has built a solid reputation.
Its universal input voltage, from 100 to 240V, makes it an excellent travel companion: combined with a simple plug adapter, it works anywhere in the world. Compact and light, it slips easily into a pouch or a bag.
Note that this is a USB-A generation charger: it has no USB-C port and no fast charging such as Power Delivery (PD) or Quick Charge. It is therefore perfectly suited to standard charging of smartphones, light tablets and small accessories, but not to fast charging of USB-C laptops or the latest phones that require it. For reliable, safe, hassle-free everyday use, this Anker dual charger remains a solid choice.
