There is no status display beyond LED indicators and an audible alarm, so anyone wanting an at-a-glance charge readout will need to look at the Pro tier of the lineup.
A 3-year warranty and a user-replaceable battery
The unit stays reasonably compact, and its sealed lead-acid battery is user-replaceable without tools, a real advantage over rivals that ship with a sealed, non-serviceable cell. APC backs the BE850G2 with a 3-year warranty, longer than several competitors in this price range, plus a connected-equipment protection policy covering gear damaged while properly connected to the unit.
