Detailed overview: Allpowers BS5000 Pro 5200Wh balcony solar storage system

The Allpowers BS5000 Pro is the 5.2 kWh model in Allpowers' plug-and-play home storage family, on sale in Europe since June 2026. One enclosure combines a LiFePO4 battery, two MPPT solar controllers and a 2400W inverter: panels go in on one side, a mains plug on the other, and the ALLPOWERS app handles the rest. The idea is to keep the day's solar production at home and use it in the evening, instead of feeding it to the grid when nobody is consuming it.

The 5200 Wh capacity comes from LiFePO4 cells that the manufacturer describes as semi-solid, rated for more than 6000 cycles with at least 80% of capacity left after 6000 cycles. The two MPPT inputs accept up to 1000W each (10 to 100V, 16A), so 2000W of panels in total; in full sun Allpowers quotes three to four hours for a full charge.

The off-grid output delivers 2400W continuously (4800W peak for 10 seconds), with an automatic changeover announced in under 15 ms during a power cut. Connected to the grid, the system feeds in 800W by default, adjustable from 0 to 2400W in the app. The enclosure is IP65, measures 18.0 × 11.2 × 23.1 in (456 × 284.3 × 587.5 mm) and weighs 143 lb (65 kg), with battery heating and a stated operating range of -4 °F to 140 °F (-20 °C to 60 °C). Cooling is by fans, and the manual asks for at least 11.8 in (300 mm) of clearance around the unit. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are built in, and up to three units can be paralleled for 15.6 kWh.

For the US market specifically, this is a European model. It runs on 230V/50Hz mains, the certifications listed by the manufacturer are European (CE, VDE-AR-N 4105), and we found no listing on iallpowers.com or in any US marketplace. The Allpowers store that does list it, iallpowers.eu, advertises free shipping within the EU and to Ukraine, with no mention of the United States. The price shown on this page is therefore a conversion of the EU price at the October 2026 exchange rate, not observed in a US store, and the purchase button is disabled.

Other points to keep in mind: a 5-year warranty and no independent test to date. Allpowers is an established maker of portable power stations, but still new to home energy storage.

Comparison

Around $2100 to $2300, the Allpowers BS5000 Pro compares with 5 kWh class balcony batteries, targeted by searches such as "BS5000 Pro vs Venus E 3.0" or "5 kWh plug-in solar battery". Here is how it sits against three references: the Marstek Venus E 3.0, the Anker Solix Solarbank 4 E5000 Pro and the EcoFlow Stream AC 5000.

In short, the BS5000 Pro stands out from the Venus E 3.0 and the Stream AC 5000, which are plain AC-coupled reserves, with its two direct solar inputs and its 2400 W backup output. The Anker wins on MPPT count (4), expandability and IP66 rating, the Marstek on price, the EcoFlow on weight. In return, the BS5000 Pro is the heaviest and the shortest-warranted in the table (5 years against 10), and it is a 230V European model with no US channel: a product to watch rather than an order-ready purchase.

We have not had the BS5000 Pro in hand yet and no independent test has been published, so this opinion rests on the manufacturer's datasheet and manual. On paper, the hardware is appealing: one box with battery, solar chargers and inverter, two MPPT inputs for panels facing different ways, and a 2400W backup output that Allpowers says takes over in under 15 ms. The reservations are clear, though: 143 lb (65 kg) to place or mount securely, fans whose noise is not documented, and a 5-year warranty where several rivals give 10. For a US buyer the main problem is availability: this is a 230V/50Hz European model with European certifications, and we found no US store listing it. Treat it as a product to watch, not an order-ready purchase.

Frequently asked questions: Allpowers BS5000 Pro 5200Wh balcony solar storage system

It doubles the capacity (5200 Wh against 2600 Wh) and weighs 143 lb (65 kg) against 86 lb (38.8 kg). The 2400W power, the two 1000W MPPT inputs, the IP65 rating and the feed-in setting are the same according to the manufacturer's datasheet.

Not through a US channel that we could find. It is not listed on iallpowers.com or in any US marketplace we checked, and the Allpowers store that does list it, iallpowers.eu, advertises free shipping within the EU and to Ukraine only. It is a 230V/50Hz model.

Two independent MPPT inputs each accept up to 1000W (10 to 100V, 16A), so 2000W in total. Panels can be wired in series if the open-circuit voltage of each string stays below 100V and the short-circuit current below 20A.

The off-grid output delivers 2400W (4800W peak for 10 seconds) and the automatic changeover is announced in under 15 ms, enough to keep a fridge, a router and a computer running. It is a 230V output, so US 120V appliances would need a different system.

Not to our knowledge: as of October 2026 only commercial announcements and presentation videos are available. The data on this page comes from the manufacturer and its manual, and will be updated if an independent measurement is published.
