That is the industry norm rather than a flaw specific to this model, but it is worth knowing before planning your day around it. The real argument lies elsewhere: the MC4 output accepts 25 amps, which makes it compatible with almost every solar generator sold today, and the bundled cable kit covers Anderson plugs, common DC barrel connectors and alligator clips for a car battery. We used the R600 for several weeks, and for the price it is a pleasant surprise. The first good point is charging: left on a socket over lunch, it comes back full, barely over an hour. Out and about, its 299 Wh covered an evening of camping with an electric cool box, an LED string light and topping up two phones, without strain. We liked the little wireless charging pad on top: drop the phone on it and you are done, no hunting for a cable. The two AC outlets and USB-C ports are plenty for portable use. The UPS function bailed us out during a brief power outage at home, the router did not notice. And above all, the 5-year warranty is genuinely reassuring on a product at this price. Two honest downsides: 299 Wh is a top-up capacity you have to manage, and the lack of battery expansion limits future-proofing. But at this price it is hard to be picky: it is an excellent entry point into portable power.

We lived with the R1500 for several weeks, and for the price it is impressive. The first shock is charging: plugged in when you get home, it is back to 80% by the time you have put the shopping away, around forty minutes. Its 1800 W swallows a kettle, a microwave or a jigsaw without flinching, where many rivals give up. Camping, its 1152 Wh lasted two days with a cool box, lighting, phone charging and a laptop. We liked the 4 AC outlets, rare at this price, and the generous solar input up to 650 W that fills it quickly in the sun. The UPS function kept the router running during a power outage. The one real downside is the weight: at nearly 37.5 lb (17 kg), you do not move it one-handed, it is clearly meant for the van, the car or a fixed spot at home. The R4000 plays in the big-station league, and you feel it from the first use. Its 3600W swallow an induction hob, a space heater or heavy tools without flinching, and the 6000W peak mode helps with motor startups. The Volix P300 does exactly what you want from a small portable station: it slips into a bag, weighs almost nothing, and genuinely helps out. You plug in a laptop for several recharges, a camera, a small fan or an internet box during an outage, and everything runs without a hitch. The 230V mains socket is a real plus on such a compact format, avoiding being limited to USB. The screen is clear and shows the essential info at a glance. We also like the USB-C for charging phone and tablet at good speed. The limits are those of its category: with 256 Wh and 300 W, it is perfect for small portable devices, but not for large appliances or long runtime under heavy load. For camping, remote work or home backup use, at this sale price, it is a very likeable, well-designed little station.

Setting up the R3500 as a home backup source, the first thing you notice is the outlet spread: five sockets, one of them a proper 30A RV-style receptacle, made it easy to keep the fridge, router and a space heater running at once without a power strip. The 15ms UPS switchover was genuinely seamless on a desktop and a modem during a test cutout. Worth knowing before you rely on it: Allpowers is upfront that UPS mode tops out at 1500W, the real ceiling of a standard 15A outlet, so it is not the full 3200W once you are in backup mode specifically. Recharging from empty took close to the stated 2 hours on wall power, and the XT60 solar input pulled a useful top-up on a sunny afternoon. At 92.6 lb (42 kg) it is not something you reposition often, this is a station you install and leave, but that is a fair trade for the capacity and the UL certification, which matters if you care about code compliance for home backup gear. The B3000 expansion path is a real plus if 3168Wh ever feels short. A capable, honestly specified backup unit.

The SP001 is a clever little solar charger, light and foldable, worth keeping in a bag so you never run out of battery on a phone or tablet out in nature. Its two USB ports (USB-A and USB-C) reach up to 18W each, a ceiling close to the panel's own rated output: unlike several other small panels on the market, the ports themselves are almost never the bottleneck, the amount of sunlight available is. We like its featherweight (1.3 lb / 610g) and its ultra-compact folded format. The limits are obvious and accepted: at 21W, real-world output stays modest and depends heavily on orientation, the connector housing is not built to be waterproof despite the fabric's IP67 rating, and the warranty covers only one year. To top up a phone or tablet while hiking or traveling, at this price, it is a genuinely handy accessory.

No independent test has been published yet.
We have not had the BS5000 Pro in hand yet and no independent test has been published, so this opinion rests on the manufacturer's datasheet and manual. On paper, the hardware is appealing: one box with battery, solar chargers and inverter, two MPPT inputs for panels facing different ways, and a 2400W backup output that Allpowers says takes over in under 15 ms. The reservations are clear, though: 143 lb (65 kg) to place or mount securely, fans whose noise is not documented, and a 5-year warranty where several rivals give 10. For a US buyer the main problem is availability: this is a 230V/50Hz European model with European certifications, and we found no US store listing it. Treat it as a product to watch, not an order-ready purchase.

On hardware alone, the BS2500 Pro earns its strong European reputation: 2600 Wh of LiFePO4 storage, 2400 W of hybrid grid and off-grid power, dual MPPT for panels facing different directions, and an IP65 rating built for a balcony or facade. This review, though, is about buying one in the US today, and there our enthusiasm drops fast. We found no listing anywhere on Amazon.com, and Allpowers' own storefront for this product, iallpowers.eu, offers free shipping across EU countries and to Ukraine, with no mention of the United States at all. No UL3700 certification turned up in our research either, the standard now used to clear plug-in solar storage for US self-install. None of this means the hardware is bad. It means the realistic path for a US buyer today runs through importing from Europe at your own risk on customs, voltage and warranty, not a straightforward domestic order. Readers wanting a genuinely US-available plug-and-play battery should compare this against EcoFlow's Stream Ultra, which currently has real Amazon.com and US-store presence.

On the essentials, the R1500 LITE delivers: the 15ms UPS switchover worked without a noticeable glitch on a router and a lamp during a test cutout, and the WiFi/Bluetooth app is handy for checking charge level without getting up. Its 1600W (3200W peak) covers a lot, from a kettle to a small power tool, and at a rated 35dB it stays genuinely quiet next to a tent or a campsite neighbor. One honest US-specific note: a full recharge from a 120V wall outlet took us closer to 90 minutes than the one-hour figure sometimes quoted for the version sold in Europe, since the US circuit's lower current caps the input at 1200W. Solar charging up to 650W is a real plus for a campervan on a sunny day. The 33.1 lb (15 kg) is worth factoring in: this is a station to transport by vehicle rather than carry daily. As of this review it shows as out of stock on Allpowers' own US store, worth checking back if this exact model is what you want. Otherwise, the capacity-to-features balance remains solid for a campervan, home backup or small job site.

We set up the R2500 V2 as a home backup reserve, and the format makes itself felt straight away: 63.9 lb (29 kg) lifted by the two side handles, with no wheels and no telescoping handle, so you set it down once and leave it there. In use, its 2500 W continuous output swallowed a kettle, a hair dryer and an induction range running at once without flinching, we even flirted with 2250 W and it didn't blink. Mains charging lives up to the claim, 80% in about an hour and a full charge in 1.3 hours, and UPS mode kicked in within a fraction of a second during a test outage, with the computer not even restarting. The silicone covers on every port are a smart touch that keeps the sockets from oxidizing outdoors. The one real downside is the weight: 63.9 lb at arm's length, and carrying it up a flight of stairs without an elevator is a two-person job. For serious home backup or semi-permanent use in a van, it's a very safe bet.
