We set up the R2500 V2 as a home backup reserve, and the format makes itself felt straight away: 63.9 lb (29 kg) lifted by the two side handles, with no wheels and no telescoping handle, so you set it down once and leave it there. In use, its 2500 W continuous output swallowed a kettle, a hair dryer and an induction range running at once without flinching, we even flirted with 2250 W and it didn't blink. Mains charging lives up to the claim, 80% in about an hour and a full charge in 1.3 hours, and UPS mode kicked in within a fraction of a second during a test outage, with the computer not even restarting. The silicone covers on every port are a smart touch that keeps the sockets from oxidizing outdoors. The one real downside is the weight: 63.9 lb at arm's length, and carrying it up a flight of stairs without an elevator is a two-person job. For serious home backup or semi-permanent use in a van, it's a very safe bet.
