Detailed overview: Zendure SolarFlow 800 Pro 2 balcony battery

The Zendure SolarFlow 800 Pro 2 is Zendure's flagship balcony power plant: a hybrid micro-inverter, a 1920Wh lithium iron phosphate battery, and an AI-driven energy manager combined in a single unit, installed between solar panels and a home outlet.

Not available in the US. This fiche is published for reference and cross-market comparison only. Zendure sells the SolarFlow 800 Pro 2 in France, Germany, and other European markets under a simplified "balcony solar" regulatory category that caps grid export at 800W and allows connection through a standard outlet without a licensed electrician. No equivalent simplified category exists under US interconnection rules, and no US listing, retailer, or import channel was found at the time this fiche was written. The price shown is a same-day currency conversion of the European price, not a real offer.

Its distinguishing feature is the solar input stage. Four independent 660W MPPT trackers accept up to 2640W of panels in total. On a typical two-input system, two differently angled panels pull against each other because the inverter has to compromise between them. Here each tracker optimizes for itself, which matters a great deal on an apartment balcony where panels often end up split between a railing and a wall.

AC output is capped at 800W for grid injection, matching the rest of the lineup and the ceiling set by simplified European balcony-solar rules. It rises to 1000W in off-grid mode, when the unit powers an outlet directly during an outage, and grid-charging also reaches 1000W. Bidirectional means the unit can both feed the home and draw from the grid to refill the battery, with a low-voltage start that lets it begin producing early in the morning.

The built-in 1920Wh battery accepts up to five add-on batteries from the AB1000 or AB2000 lineup, for a maximum of 11.52kWh. The energy management system connects to more than 840 European utilities across 32 markets to read hourly tariffs, and pairs with Zendure's 3CT smart meter for real-time consumption tracking, none of which has a US equivalent in Zendure's current lineup.

Comparison

Zendure's entire balcony lineup shares the same basic concept, but none of it is currently sold in the US, so this comparison is for reference only.

For a US reader, the practical takeaway is that none of these four units ship to the US market as of this writing. The comparison is useful mainly for understanding Zendure's European lineup structure, or for readers evaluating an import.

The SolarFlow 800 Pro 2 solves a problem every balcony solar owner runs into: few balconies face perfectly south, or whichever direction is ideal locally. With four independent 660W MPPT trackers, each panel finds its own maximum power point, so a panel that falls into shade later in the day no longer drags the others down with it. That is the real technical argument for this version, more than the 2640W of admissible input that few balcony installs will ever reach. Grid export stays capped at 800W like the rest of the lineup, a ceiling set by simplified balcony-solar rules in France and Germany, not by the hardware itself; the 1000W figure Zendure highlights applies to off-grid backup output and to charging from the grid, not to what actually reaches the home's circuit. The built-in energy manager connects to more than 840 European utilities and reads hourly tariffs to decide when to charge and when to discharge, protecting the battery from deep winter discharge along the way. On paper, that is what the best home energy systems do, scaled down to balcony size. Two reservations, on top of the one that matters most for this market: the SolarFlow 800 Plus reaches the same 11.52kWh ceiling for meaningfully less money if two solar inputs are enough, and being a recent release, it has not yet built up an independent track record. None of this changes the central fact for a US reader: Zendure has not brought this product to the US, no listed US price exists, and the entire premise (an 800W-capped balcony feed-in category) is a European regulatory construct that the US net-metering and interconnection framework does not mirror.

Frequently asked questions: Zendure SolarFlow 800 Pro 2 balcony battery

Not through official channels. Zendure sells this unit in France, Germany, and other European markets, but has not launched it in the US, and no authorized US retailer or listing was found at the time of writing. Anyone considering an import should check FCC/UL certification and interconnection rules with their local utility first.

Each tracker finds its own panel's maximum power point independently. With a single tracker feeding two mismatched or differently angled panels, the inverter compromises and loses output. With four independent inputs, a panel in partial shade no longer drags the others down, which is common on apartment balconies with panels split across two planes.

11.52kWh, by adding up to five AB1000 or AB2000 batteries to the 1920Wh built in. A single AB2000L already brings the total to 3840Wh.

That is the ceiling set by simplified balcony-solar regulations in France and Germany, the markets this product is designed for, not a hardware limitation. The 1000W figure applies to off-grid backup output and to grid-charging power, not to what is exported into the home's circuit. The US has no directly equivalent simplified interconnection category.
