Detailed overview: Panasonic Eneloop BQ-CC55 charger
The Panasonic Eneloop BQ-CC55 (Smart & Quick Charger) is one of the most recommended battery chargers for AA and AAA NiMH cells. It is for anyone who wants to be done with disposable batteries: controllers, remotes, toys, flashes, mice, lamps, it powers a whole home's ecosystem at lower cost and with no waste.
Its main asset is smart, individual charging: each slot is managed separately (up to 4 AA or AAA batteries, in any combination). The charger automatically detects each cell's state, adapts the charge and switches to maintenance mode once full, which avoids overcharging and extends battery life. One LED per slot shows progress.
It is fast (about 3 hours to recharge 4 AA eneloop 2000mAh batteries) while staying gentle on the cells. Protections against overcharge, overheating and faulty batteries ensure safe daily use. Compact, it stores easily in a drawer.
Sold here with 4 eneloop AA 2000mAh batteries (among the best on the market for their low self-discharge), it is a complete ready-to-use kit. Reliable, simple and durable, the BQ-CC55 is the safe bet to equip the whole home with rechargeable batteries.

Video: Panasonic Eneloop AA and AAA battery charger review (BQ-CC55) - Published on 20/07/2019
Our tester's review: Christophe Delpuech
We adopted it and we are not going back: this little Panasonic replaced all our disposable batteries. Per-slot individual charging really changes things, you can mix two AA and one AAA without a second thought, and each cell is treated according to its state. The supplied eneloop live up to their promise, you find them charged even after months in a drawer. Compact, quiet, it barely warms up. The only real complaint: no screen, just LEDs, so no precise info on capacity or remaining time, which is enough for home use but will frustrate enthusiasts. At this price, with 4 eneloop included, it is the best starting point to switch to rechargeable batteries.
