Which batteries can the XTAR VC4L charge?

3.6/3.7V Lithium-ion cells from 10440 to 32650, including protected 21700 cells, as well as 1.2V NiMH/NiCd batteries in AA and AAA formats. The charger automatically detects the chemistry of each inserted battery.

Does the VC4L measure internal resistance or real capacity?

No. Unlike its bigger sibling the VC4SL, the VC4L only displays voltage, current and charged capacity. For an internal resistance test, you need the VC4SL.

How is the XTAR VC4L charged?

Through a USB-C port, compatible with any wall charger, power bank or car socket delivering 5V. Bays 1 and 4 can each charge at up to 1A.

Can the VC4L charge protected 21700 cells?

Yes, this is exactly what sets the VC4L apart from the basic VC4: its bays are long enough to fit protected 21700 cells, which are longer than bare cells.
