Its 105Ah capacity, about 1,280Wh, lasts over 3500 cycles of charge and discharge at 80% depth of discharge, for a stated lifespan of 10 to 15 years depending on use.
Like the rest of the Drift range, it has a built-in automatic heating function that warms the cells before charging in cold weather, a protection many entry-level batteries lack and one that prevents damage to the LiFePO4 chemistry when charging below 32 °F (0 °C). At just 22 lb (10 kg), it's a one-hand lift thanks to its built-in handles, a real comfort when sliding it into a tight compartment. The Fogstar Drift app pairs instantly over Bluetooth and shows clear data on state of charge and cell health. Just like its larger sibling, the automatic heating delivered on its promise during an improvised winter test, accepting charge without a hitch despite a temperature close to 32 °F (0 °C).
