The Votronic LCD Battery Computer 100 S is an onboard battery monitor paired with a precision 100A shunt. It shows in real time the voltage, charge/discharge current and state of charge (Ah and %) of the leisure battery in a van, RV or boat, in both 12V and 24V. Compatible with lead-acid, Gel, AGM and LiFePO4 lithium batteries, it has a backlit LCD screen readable even in bright sunlight, and can take an optional Bluetooth module for monitoring via the Votronic Energy Monitor app.
Fitted in a converted van with a 200 Ah LiFePO4 leisure battery, the Votronic LCD Battery Computer 100 S quickly replaced our rough voltmeter guesswork. The shunt wires onto the battery's negative terminal, the display sits on the technical panel, and after a first full charge to calibrate the unit, the percentage and amp-hour readout genuinely matches reality. Handy day to day: a quick glance tells you whether there is enough left to get through the night without needing to recharge. The backlit screen stays readable in bright sun and in the dark, and dialling in the right battery profile (LiFePO4 in our case) takes only a few minutes. The one regret: Bluetooth is not built in, you need the optional module to get the app and charge history, which adds to the bill. The measurement resolution is also a notch below a high-end Victron SmartShunt. For reliable monitoring and genuine control over your battery's runtime, this Votronic monitor clearly does the job.

Fitted in a Class A motorhome with a 400 Ah LiFePO4 house battery bank and a sizeable inverter, the Votronic LCD Battery Computer 200 S immediately proved its worth over the 100A model, which struggled the moment the inverter drew hard. The supplied Smart Shunt, more accurate and less power-hungry than the older generation, fits exactly like the 100 S, on the battery's negative terminal. After a first full charge to calibrate the unit, the percentage and amp-hour readout genuinely matches reality, even under heavy short-term current draw. The screen stays readable in bright sun, and dialling in the LiFePO4 profile takes only a few minutes. The one downside, as with the 100 S: Bluetooth is not built in, you need the optional module to get the app and charge history. For an RV or van with a large lithium battery bank, this Votronic monitor finally gives the measuring headroom the 100A model lacked.

The Votronic VCC 1212-30 is an onboard 12V DC-DC charger, designed to charge the leisure battery of an RV, van or boat from the alternator. With a current limited to 20A (30A maximum) and an included temperature sensor, it works with lead-acid, Gel, AGM and LiFePO4 lithium batteries, for capacities from 60 to 260 Ah. Compact and reliable, it automatically compensates for line losses and Euro 6 smart alternators.
We fitted the Votronic VCC 1212-30 in a converted cargo van, with a 100 Ah LiFePO4 leisure battery wired to the alternator. The result: charging while driving is noticeably faster than the old split-charge relay it replaced. The supplied temperature sensor clips easily onto the battery, and once the right charging profile is selected (LiFePO4 in our case), the unit runs without any further fiddling. The fan kicks in under heavy load but stays fairly quiet. On a van with a smart Euro 6 alternator, we had to wire in the ignition line to reliably trigger charging, a step that is not to be skipped and is well explained in the manual. The only downside: at 30A, the recommended cable gauge is fairly heavy, and the housing gets noticeably warm under full summer load. For a serious van or RV build combining alternator and lithium battery, the VCC 1212-30 largely delivers on its promise.

Votronic VCC 1212-45 IUoU-Li

The VCC 1212-30 charges a lead-acid battery just fine, but a large lithium bank deserves an isolated charger with a real dedicated profile: the VCC 1212-45 IUoU-Li.

The Votronic VCC 1212-45 IUoU-Li is an onboard 12V DC-DC charger rated at 45A, galvanically isolated between input and output, unlike the non-isolated VCC 1212-30. It carries a dedicated charging profile for complete LiFePO4 lithium batteries (14.4V, recognized BMS protection), alongside lead-acid, Gel and AGM profiles. Recommended for house batteries from 90 to 400 Ah, it includes a temperature sensor and extensive protections, for a high-end RV or van installation.
Fitted in a Class A motorhome with a 280 Ah LiFePO4 house battery, the Votronic VCC 1212-45 IUoU-Li replaced a VCC 1212-30 that had become too limited. The difference shows mostly in installation peace of mind: galvanic isolation removes any concern about a shared ground between the starter and house battery circuits, a real plus on a rig already packed with electronics. The dedicated LiFePO4 profile (14.4V, recognized BMS protection) selects in seconds and charges noticeably faster than a repurposed generic lead-acid profile. The supplied temperature sensor clips easily onto the battery. The housing gets noticeably warm under full summer load and the unit is bulkier than the 1212-30, understandable given the power and isolation on board. For anyone with a genuine lithium battery to charge who also wants isolation, this higher-end Votronic clearly delivers over the more general-purpose 1212-30.
