We have several running year-round in Ring and Blink style cameras, and even through a rough winter they kept working without the cold-weather drop-off alkalines suffer. The 12-pack is the sweet spot for stocking up: enough to cover a handful of devices or build a real backup supply without buying in bulk-warehouse quantities. They are noticeably lighter than alkaline cells too, which is a small but real plus for anything you carry.
