Out of the box, the Prime 160W surprises with its size: barely bigger than a standard 100W charger, but with a display that lights up the moment you plug in a cable. The first time you see "140.0W" appear live on a port while a MacBook Pro is charging, the appeal is obvious: no more guessing whether fast charging is actually working. Plugging in a laptop, an iPhone and earbuds at the same time causes no trouble, power sharing happens without any visible hiccup on screen. Automatic mode is enough for daily use; the Bluetooth app only really matters for anyone who wants to fine-tune port priority. The one downside noticed in use: the touch button on the display sometimes responds with a slight lag, and the price sits well above the Prime 100W for a power gain that not everyone needs. For anyone charging several power-hungry devices every day, that extra cost is easily justified.
